Rental Car Insurance Ripoff

A woman in St. Louis, Missouri is claiming that the car insurance provided by a local car rental company is a ripoff. Shunta Johnson had to pay out of pocket after an uninsured driver hit her Lexus, yet the driver said that he had purchased insurance through his rental agreement with Aboard Rent A Car.
Johnson's insurance company later told her that Aboard Rent A Car had no insurance, so she had to pay a $500 deductible to cover repair costs. When a reporter for a local news channel went to Aboard Rent A Car to ask why they allowed one of their cars to be driven around the streets of St. Louis without insurance, a worker slammed the door in the face of the reporter and started yelling before he had a chance to ask any questions.
